Bulk import QR codes

Import hundreds of codes or hyper-dynamic instances from CSV templates.

Related in the dashboard: codes.import, codes.import.template, codes.instance-import

Bulk import accelerates large rollouts — packaging batches, event badges, and hyper-dynamic instance uploads.

QR code bulk import

  1. Open Codes → Import.
  2. Download the CSV template for your target product types.
  3. Fill required columns: slug, type, destination, brand, domain, etc.
  4. Upload the file and monitor progress in the import manager.

Validation runs row-by-row. Successful rows create codes immediately; failures stay in a downloadable failed rows report with error messages.

Hyper-dynamic instance import

For parent hyper-dynamic codes:

  1. Open the parent code → Instance import.
  2. Upload CSV with instance slug, destination URL, and optional metadata columns.
  3. Review the summary report and re-upload corrected rows if needed.

Template tips

  • Keep slugs lowercase with hyphens — avoid spaces and special characters.
  • Include organisation-scoped uniqueness — duplicates fail validation.
  • For routed codes, put routing JSON in the designated column exactly as documented in the template header comments.

After import

  • Ensure the queue worker is running so redirect cache jobs and QR renders complete.
  • Run test scans on a sample of imported codes before mass printing.
  • Use Bulk export on hyper-dynamic parents to audit instance lists offline.

Limits

Imports respect plan code caps. Enable wallet overage or upgrade before uploading files that exceed remaining quota.
