Dynamic link codes resolve to a destination URL you can change any time after printing. Scans are tracked, routable, and schedulable.
When to use a dynamic link
Choose Dynamic link when you need:
- A marketing URL that may change after print runs ship
- A/B destination testing or device/language routing
- Password protection, scan caps, or scheduled go-live windows
- UTM parameters appended automatically on redirect
Create a dynamic link code
- From Codes, click Create code → Dynamic link.
- Set the slug (appears in your short URL) and destination URL.
- Optionally pick a brand and domain for the public link host.
- Design the QR in the preview panel and save.
Edit the destination later
Open the code editor and change Destination URL. Existing printed QR images keep working — only the redirect target updates. Redirect cache entries refresh within seconds after save.
Optional add-ons
Depending on your plan, the editor exposes:
- Prelander — branded countdown page before redirect
- Routing rules — send iOS, Android, or country segments to different URLs
- Password gate — require a shared password before redirect
- Tracking pixels — Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, and Snap tags on the redirect path
See the Scan rules & routing guide for compound rule builders and routing pointers.
Analytics
Each scan records timestamp, country, device class, and unique visitor estimates. Open Analytics from the code row or the sidebar for time-series charts and top breakdowns.
Short-link format
Published links use https://{domain}/{organisation-slug}/{code-slug}. On the shared fallback domain that is qr.qrhero.link.
