Tracking groups bundle codes under a shared campaign label so you can measure performance across many QR placements at once.
Create a tracking group
- Open Settings → Tracking groups.
- Click Create group, name the campaign, and optional default UTM parameters.
- Assign codes from the code editor or bulk-select on the codes list when supported.
Why use groups
- Compare print, packaging, and in-store signage for the same promotion
- Apply consistent
utm_campaignvalues without editing each code manually - Feed agency reports where clients think in campaigns, not individual slugs
Analytics integration
Filter organisation analytics by tracking group to see aggregated scans and uniques. Groups do not change redirect behaviour — they are a reporting and tagging construct.
Best practices
- Name groups with start dates or season (
2026-spring-launch) for easy archival. - Avoid nesting too many unrelated codes in one group — skews A/B reads.
- Pair with Dynamic link UTM append settings when you need parameter passthrough to the final destination.
