QR code types

Event QR codes

Share calendar events that add to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.

Related in the dashboard: events.create, events.edit

Event codes publish .ics calendar entries with title, start/end, location, and description.

When to use event codes

  • Conference sessions and webinars
  • In-store workshops with limited seats
  • Recurring classes where the destination calendar entry may change

Create an event code

  1. Pick Create code → Event.
  2. Enter title, start/end times, timezone, location, and description.
  3. Style the QR and save.

Updating schedules

If dates move, edit the event fields in the dashboard. Recipients who already added the old entry may need a refreshed scan — communicate major changes through email as well.

Time zones

Always set the event timezone explicitly. QR Hero stores UTC-normalised timestamps so travellers see correct local times in their calendar apps.
