Virtual windows connect a physical display location to digital content served on scan — useful for retail endcaps, showrooms, and partner shelves.
Concepts
- Window — a logical display slot tied to a store or brand.
- Content code — the QR or short link patrons scan to load the active creative.
- Operator console — staff tools to swap creatives without reprinting signage.
Create a virtual window
- Open Virtual windows in the sidebar (requires the
windows.managepermission). - Create a window, assign a store, and attach the active content code.
- Print the window QR and place it on the display.
- Use Window scan PWA on a paired device for quick floor checks.
Benchmark analytics
The Window benchmark report compares scan rates across stores in your portfolio — filter by brand, date range, and device class.
Permissions
Only owners and delegated window managers can create or reassign windows. Basic users may scan for testing if your role policy allows it.
Best practices
- Keep fallback content configured when campaigns end — avoid blank scans.
- Pair with tracking groups when running multi-store campaigns for a single buyer.
